DK-I Type Transcranial Magnetic Stimulator Technical Principle

The Transcranial Magnetic Stimulator (rTMS) is primarily used for treatment by altering its stimulation frequency to either excite or inhibit the function of specific areas of the cerebral cortex.

High-frequency, high-intensity rTMS can generate excitatory postsynaptic potential summation, leading to abnormal neural excitation at the stimulation site, whereas low-frequency stimulation has the opposite effect.
